The Grain Millers Modernisation Program (GMMP) Meeting, at UDB headquarters Kampala.

The Grain Council of Uganda, in partnership with Uganda Development Bank (UDB), successfully held the Grain Millers Modernisation Program (GMMP) engagement on Thursday, 1st October 2026, at UDB Headquarters in Kampala. The meeting provided a valuable platform to sensitize grain millers, processors, traders, exporters, and machine metal fabricators on financing opportunities under the program, including asset financing, working capital, food safety and quality assurance investments, and support for local equipment manufacturers. The engagement marked an important step towards modernising Uganda’s grain milling industry, enhancing value addition, strengthening local manufacturing capacity, and improving the competitiveness of the grain value chain.
