For centuries now, Grain trade has suffered a structuring problem and therefore the formation of The Grain Council of Uganda-TGCU, gives a glimmer of hope to squarely solving this problem. The Council offers Grain Trade and Business development services that enable members to access finance but also negotiates with financial institutions on development of sector – specific financing models.
Some of these are supply-based and some of them are demand driven.
Therefore, belonging to the Grain Council gives the members the comfort and opportunity to access such services.
